How to Import a Custom Theme in Codex App
Choose a theme, copy its string, then use Import in Codex App Settings → Appearance. Review the result before confirming. If Import is missing or disabled in your version, keep the current theme and do not edit application files.
Import a Codex App theme in four steps

Choose and preview
Open a theme, switch between Light and Dark, and check the Chat preview.

Use the primary Copy theme string action on the gallery or detail page.

Open Appearance
In Codex App, open Settings → Appearance and select Import.

What happens after import
The imported colors normally remain after Codex App restarts.
CodexThemes exports use the built-in codex base theme ID.
Selecting the official Codex theme again restores that theme’s default colors.
If Import is missing or disabled

Keep the current theme, record your Codex App version, and check the appearance controls available in that build.
Do not
Do not modify application files, run injection scripts, or weaken system protections to force an import.

codex-theme-v1 is a data-only validation and sharing format maintained by CodexThemes. The official Settings reference confirms custom appearance and theme sharing, but it does not publish this serialized contract or guarantee the same Import control in every release.
