# CodexThemes.app — extended machine-readable guide

## Purpose
CodexThemes.app separates Dream Skin discovery, visual evidence, installation availability, platform verification, asset rights, and recovery guidance. It does not describe concepts as screenshots or installable themes.

## Upstream capability boundary
The documented implementation uses local loopback CDP injection at 127.0.0.1 and does not modify the Codex application bundle, app.asar, WindowsApps, or code signatures. CDP has no same-user authentication; users should run only trusted local software while it is active. Commands are centralized from content/upstream/dream-skin.json.

## Platform summary
macOS uses the Node runtime bundled with Codex and does not require a global Node install. Windows requires Node.js 22 or newer and PowerShell. Both published workflows include verification and restore scripts.

## Privacy
OS detection runs locally and manual selection is stored in localStorage. Clipboard writes require explicit user action and provide manual fallback. User images, filenames, hashes, theme strings, and font values must not be sent to analytics.
